Spring Equinox Wellness Workshop

Empathy in Action will be hosting a rejuvenating workshop to cultivate the energies brought about by the Spring Equinox. We invite you to join us!

This hybrid event will take place at CoBiz Richmond and be available for participants to attend virtually via zoom.

The Spring Equinox is a yearly event caused by the rotation of the Earth along its axis. On that day, there will be exactly 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. As such, it represents the period of balance between darkness and light. After the sun reaches this equilibrium, the hours of daylight will gradually increase, allowing new light in and promoting growth, clarity, opportunity, and excitement. The days of darkness are over– quite literally! 

Your spirit is like the sun, poised to shine brighter and longer than it has all year. 

During this Spring Equinox celebration, we will honor the past months as we welcome new things to come. It is a time to gather, confer with one another and make decisions that affect the community as a whole. Join us in actively working to shape the future you imagine, to mold it, and make it that much more attainable!

The workshop will include Afro-Brazilian music lesson with world renown master drummer Jorge Alabê, sound bowl healing with Elaine Astorga, dancing for clarity and reflection with Olivia Eng, and a reflective/planning activity led by Corinna Espino, a mental health professional, and Sascha Owens, a holistic wellness educator.
